1. WELDING 3G EXAMINATION

COURSE OVERVIEW

This programme will train and establish welders with a good and quality welding procedure.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of safety when carrying out course objective welding duties.
  • Identify how arc and gas welding works.
  • Understand and explain the symbols of welding and its procedures.

Theory

1. Health and safety

2. Codes and standards

3. Welding techniques and procedures

4. Welding consumables

Practical

1. Vertical fillet (3F)

2. Flat butt (1G)

3. Vertical butt (3G)

4. Final WQT (3G)

5. Low and medium carbon steel plate

DURATION

3 – 5 days

TARGET GROUP (BY DESIGNATION)

  • Maintenance
  • Welders with at least 3-6 months welding working experience (SMAW / GMAW/GTAW/FCAW)
