COURSE OBJECTIVE 

Identify various weld imperfections (defects)

Undestand the relavant welding technology related to visual inspection

Undestand the need for documentation in welding

Be aware of codes and standards related to inspection requirements

Carry out visual inspection of parent materials and consumables

Carry out visual inspection of welds, report on them and assess their compliance with specified acceptance criteria.

Pass the Visual Inspector Welding qualification according CSWIP.

COURSE OUTLINE THEORY

This welding inspection course will teach you visual inspection produres, relavant codes of practice and terms and definations. You will also learn about welding processes and defects, weld measurements, practical inspection and reporting , and the typical welding inspection documentation and requirements.

DURATION: 3 days

TARGET GROUP (BY DESIGNATION): Visual welding inspector course is designed for welders, operators, line inspectors , and foremen who carry out the visual examinantion of welded joints. It is also suitable for welding quality control staff and anyone who needs basic training in welding isnpection along side a qualification.
